FAQ

What type of Tarot reader are you?

I’m what they call in the biz, an intuitive reader. I am reading the client across from me as much as I am the cards. My ultimate goal is to bring what’s hiding in the back of someone’s mind forward, and I can’t do that without having a conversation with the client and getting to know them a bit. Think of it as a therapy session, but with pictures.

I’m not a religious or spiritual person, but I am open to clients of all faiths and belief systems.

I’m part of the LGBTQ+ community and reading at Pride events has always been a joy for me to do.

Can I hire you for private events?

Yes! Please contact me via email or the contact form on this website.

I can provide : table, signage, 6x4 tent, and 2 chairs.

Space / Location : A location that allows for a normal level of conversation is ideal. This will aid in clients being able to hear me speak, and for me not to not lose my voice over the course of the event. This will also allow for both the client and myself to speak at a level that cannot be overheard by others.

Length : I can read, with short breaks, for about 5 hours before my voice starts to go.

Contract : I do require singing of a contract before an event.

COVID UPDATE

I am fully vaccinated/boosted and can provide proof if required.

I will be following current CDC guidelines with regards to being around groups/events. If additional safety measures are required by the event/host, that will be spelled out in the event contract and agreed upon by both parties.

I trust the scientific method. I trust vaccines. I do not wish to associate myself or my art with groups that are anti-vaxx or anti-science.

I want to learn how to read cards! Where do I start?

I started with the Rider-Waite-Smith deck. This particular deck, released in the early 1900s in England, has influenced 99% of the tarot decks that came after it. I recommend becoming familiar with that deck first before moving on to others.

My favorite book on learning to read Tarot cards is 78 Degrees of Wisdom by Rachel Pollack. Another great resource has been Mary K. Greer's 21 Ways to Read a Tarot Card. Their works’ bibliography pages and blogs are another great resource to find other authors and reference material.

For online resources, I recommend Aeclectic Tarot and Tarot classes provided by The Morbid Anatomy.

Other Books: Queering the Tarot, Tarot Reversals, The Encyclopedia of Tarot (especially volumes 1 and 2), and Essential Tarot Writings (it really is an essential read for understanding the history of the cards).
